In the last season of the West Wing we had the election to elect the president that would replace Bartlett, we had a young, handsome democrat candidate that belonged to a minority segment of society who was in a very hard race against an established politician and surprisingly won.

On the republican side it was a veteran senator who was famous for being a straight talker and who insisted on not being lock on pre scripted debates (similar to McCain's insistence on open town-hall debates).

During the race it was very close. But the republican candidate was a strong defender of nuclear energy and a few weeks before the election a nuclear accident occurs in a nuclear plant in California bringing his campaign down. You have to recall how McCain talked about how the fundamentals of the economy were strong and two days after we had the Wall Street Crash and beginning of a harsh recession.

And so finally the young minority candidate wins making history on the US. Oh and they even had them visit public and private schools just like Michelle Obama did!

So what do you guys think?
