Banks Still Planning Billions In Bonuses for Execs and CEO's

It's no secret that investment bankers are well-compensated, mostly through year-end bonuses, especially during bull markets.

But can they still count on those big bonuses this year, in the midst of the financial crisis and market freefall?

As a foreigner watching this crisis, I still feel that I have to comment on how sad this story really is. This crisis is starting to spread to other countries like South Africa so I don't think it is out of line of me to add my feelings of nausea at the callousness and greed of certain people.

When Mark Shuttleworth's (first African in space) company was bought out by Verisign and he became an instant billionaire, this is what he did:

What do you say about a guy who gives his entire staff of 30 plus people a 1million bonus each, when he sold his company.
