no matter what anyone says..

Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and all the other broadly accepted religions, are no longer relevant in our current culture..

..which is why their influence currently causes so many problems..

those belief systems are so non-parallel to today's culture -- they are part of the forces of entropy suffered by the human family..

GOD IS NOT IN RELIGION.. GET OVER YOURSELVES.. NOW !!

To the OP:

A pathetically prime example of the pot calling the kettle black, claiming its the kettle calling the pot black.

Here is some news for you. Your mind is controlled and lost to the religion it follows. Until you are free of its dogmatic and hateful principles, you will forever be a hypocrite. My advice to you is retain your beliefs, leave religion all together, and accept others do and will see differently than you do. Be spiritual, but not religious.

Stop perpetuating the hate between Christians and non-Christians.

The original principles of Christianity are moral, fair, and just. Just like any other widely accepted religion, both eastern and western. However, people like you have perverted it to the point of a "holier than thou" viewpoint.

All you (western) religious types claim your religion is right, and others are wrong. How can anybody be right if everybody is wrong? The reality is, they all started out to teach the same thing. But you, and others like you in the past, ruined that.

Move on. Free yourself from the travesty that is modern western religion.

one major factor you can look at is that christianity has been the least accepting religion of different beliefs. it reminds me of ego, "me right, you wrong" haha.

who in their right mind would think that a god would randomly pick out souls to go into the "right" and "wrong" "religions"? this one christianity, this one muslim, this one christianity, this child burns in hell for ETERNITY for being taught by his parents the wrong message. ohhh so sorry child, better luck next time. HA! disgusting.

study some quantum physics, thatll disprove your beliefs. but hey, in your mind, your right. in my mind, your PATH is right, but your beliefs are false.

all basic emotions stem from 1. love, and 2. fear. we know fear breeds paranoia, judgement, separation, selfishness. love is from unity, understanding, acceptance, selflessness. well quantum physics shows we are all "entangled" and our consciousness affects one another. so tell me, if we are all one, why would a god send his own people out...to kill HIS OWN PEOPLE!!! and ultimately themselves? is that unity? why would god create a hell, so u start living based off of fear? why dont u study a childs behavior and see their actions when acting based off of fear, and off of love. i can tell u first hand. if i fear my parents, my chores are done to the bare minimum so as not to get in trouble. out of love, i put effort.

its all about intentions, friend. and i love you and love your intentions. and the intentions of christianity too. youre and they, are just going about it all wrong. preach love and unity. oneness. not fear and separation. THAT is godly. righteous

oh and before you bash meditation, DO SOME RESEARCH! hell, do it yourself. its the most beautiful time of my day. it makes u love and appreciate yourself. infact ill make your life alittle easier, here ya go friend:
www.healthandyoga.com...

All participants had their brain waves scanned three times during the study: at the beginning of the experiment, when meditation lessons were completed eight weeks later and four months after that. The researchers found that the meditators showed a pronounced shift in activity to the left frontal lobe. In other words, they were calmer and happier than before. The study will be published in the next issue of Psychosomatic Medicine.

you need to stop looking at difference as wrong or right. lest you judge the whole world. look at it as difference in awareness, a different understanding. do you really think god would make someone burn forever....and ever...and ever for that? ha! how naive. enjoy your life friend, youre on the right path...as if there is a wrong

Oh such a wonderful topic.
I'm not sure about the others who have responded to the OP, but as an ex-Christian I can definitely say that the Holier-than-thou attitude is not going to win any fans. Even as a Christian I never failed to be highly let down when I'd see a fellow believer get up on their high horse and speak about non-believers as though there were inferior. I may no longer call myself a Christian, but does that mean I am bound for hell despite the fact that I continue to adhere to morals and ideals that differ very little from those taught by Christ? I decided to seek the truth, as you suggest in the OP, and look where I ended up! I no longer practice any particular religion or categorized form of spirituality, and I have come to the understanding that my spiritual journey is my own and not subject to the words of men.

My advice to you is to put aside whatever it is you feel about non-believers. Let your actions speak for you. When addressing others about spirituality and religion maintain a positive theme by expressing the satisfaction that your beliefs and your faith have provided you. A person is more likely to take an interest in a belief system if they can witness how it is fulfilling to someone, rather than if they have to read/hear/watch someone bashing and criticizing other belief systems while placing themselves above others.

There is one other thing to consider. Many, perhaps even the majority, of people who practice some form of spirituality and/or religion do so because they were raised in a home where that practice was the norm. They may even come from neighborhoods or towns where other belief systems simply are not practiced. I dare say that the majority of this group likely rarely questions their beliefs throughout their lifetimes. And those that do wind up with quite a shock when they begin to approach spirituality with an open mind. My point for this paragraph is simple and goes along with what I said above. If you're going to talk to others about religion and spirituality, be positive and don't attack what others believe. The bottom line is that you're essentially a salesman for your religion. Have you ever heard of a salesperson being successful by talking trash about the competition or by dissing the product that the customer is currently using? I doubt it!

Question

If someone lives their life with kindnes, compassion for all living things, loves and nurtures my children and love all that sustainslife, worship the sun, the rocks, the moon. streams, the trees the wonders of this life..(these manifestations of god)

And not believe in Jesus,,,does that mean I am eternally damned, cast into hell and all the devils of beelezebub will jab my arse with a trident for eternity!?

For living a life without Jesus but living as best they can with the above!!

Well..does God have an ego???

Pagan myself but I believe Jesus was a man..a very special man in history he made rules for the simple...

Look at it this way ..the universe is billions of years old.. humans need a reason and a belief system to ensure the human conciousness moves forward..

I really can't imagine a god that has created the universe and beyond that is billions and billions of years old getting upset ..because someone didn't belive in him...yet loved and nurtured and went by the rules " Harm none"

But that my view as a Pagan!!

I think religion is very silly!! ...it preaches to the simple they need guidance .. yet to me god is manifest in all things.. if you don't nurture it ..it dies!!

The Satanists are just people!! ..thats all ..flesh and blood and they have ego's..but still flesh and blood...mortal!! Nothing more!! ...

So ...wherever we go once we shuffle off this mortal coil..its not really for us to judge ..!

So .." Do what thou wilt...but harm none" ...all religions should be based on that I think!!!

That way there wouldn't be wars...but Jesus didn't say that!!

Has anone heard the Chopstick story??

Well this is it!

In Heaven and hell they can only eat with six foot long chopsticks

In hell there is loads of food but people are starving, miserable and dying.

In heaven ..people are well fed and happy ..yet they have the same length chopsticks!!

Why is that...? because in heaven they feed each other!!

You don't have to be Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Catholic, Pagan Budhist to understand that!!

Fact of life...no matter what you believe!!

And I don't think we need a religion to tell us that!!

And if you look at Pagan history,,in the UK Christianity was embraced by Pagans...Jesus was a good bloke!!..

The Pagans took Jesus in and got screwed I think!!...

Like!! we had gods for everything ...and worshiped and nurtured gods manifestations!!..the earth...now man worships ...a man !!

And I was baptised as a baby,,( and they never gave me a choice)

But !! god gave me a brain ...to question!!

To any religious person ...I will say show me God!!

I will show him an old tree...the wind and rain and the Sun all the wonders of this planet and the universe!! The Pagan worships what this planet is and could be....nurturing and protecting!!!!

God has many mames to the Pagan!! so when a Pagan worships and nurtures all that gives life!!

Who is nearer to God...the one that nurtures ..or the one that pays lip service to something they cannot prove!!
