I have yet to see more then a few minutes of this film. I cought a bit of the end the other day when I was leaving for work and Arnie is running around with what looked like an MP5 with a grenade launcher on it (that of course fires grenades that fill rooms with gasious fire balls that you can still be out run down a hall as they expand to engulf everything.) I googled "grenade launcher for MP5" and didn't find anything. what is the gun he's using and what grenade launcher is it??

Thanks

Yes it is, hence my reference to everything that explodes doing so in huge gasious slow moving fireball fashion. but most of the times the guns are real and all I cought was a glimps of the gun so thats why I'm asking if anyone knew what it was...

I seem to recall he had an M203 mounted on some kind of short-barreled rifle, but I can't remember what it was. I will have to watch the movie again sometime.

Maybe the explosions were supposed to represent the new XM1060 thermobaric grenade system now in service in Afghanistan?

Does that look like what he was carrying?

I don't remember.

Here you go Garaman Rex,

This is the address for the answer you requested from members so glad I could help out. Enjoy friend.

www.imfdb.org...

Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger) uses a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 fitted with an M203 grenade launcher to fight Satan (Gabriel Byrne)

Heckler & Koch MP5A3 9mm
M203 grenade launcher 40mm

Just watched that movie yesterday in fact.

I was a weapons specialist in the Air Force so fire power I respect.

Thanks much for the link, but those weren't 40mm grenades he had, of course as was pointed out it is just a movie and god knows they make mistakes reguarding weapons all the time ( my favorite is the "click, click, click" as a guy pulls the trigger on a .45 with the slide locked back cause the mag is emptly, or when the character is about to get into a fire fight and checks his mag, then jumps out, fires 3 rounds and the slide locks back cause they don't give actors more blanks then they are suppose to fire for the shot). guess i'll be making a trip to blockbuster and finally watch this film......Thanks again

Ok, after watching this not so great and predictable film I have to say I guess those could have been 40mm and Arnie must have some big hands. So I have to bow to the MP5 with a M-203 attached. I still cant find a picture of one set up like that anyplace, so if anyone knows where one is a link would be appreciated, any idea what rail system would be used to mount it or any additional info is welcome as well....

Thanks
