I think it should be pointed out that every president is always in danger of being asassinated. There are enough crazies in the US that would want
their name to go down in history.
Assuming that the VP is sworn in first, I think that Biden would only assume the presidentcy if he was sworn in and then Obama was killed. I think it
would be a stretch to see this happening though. If Biden wasn't sworn in yet, I think that Cheney would take over because in the Constitution it
says that the VP takes over in the case of the president not being able to take office. Regardless, it would be strange if Obama was assassinated
before Inaugaration Day since, technically, Obama/Biden aren't the President and VP yet, just "elect".
Is it just me, or do their seem to be a ton of stories about how secure Washington will be for next Tuesday? Maybe we're being set up for
something.
