I voted tonight and I wrote in Ron Paul. One of the poll workers reported that if it wasn't on the "list" it wouldn't be counted!

This is my first election where I actually voted for someone for president.. Even though Ron Paul doesn't have a cold day in hell it's odd that my vote wouldn't be counted. Excuse my ignorance but can someone please explain this?

What you are seeing is what I have been talking about for months. A write in vote for Ron Paul is a truly wasted vote. He is NOT on the ballot. If he is NOT on the ballot the vote will not be counted. To my knowledge Ron Paul is only on the baloot in ONE state and that state is Montana.

So unless you live in Montana, writing in Ron Paul is the same as writing in Casper the Friendly Ghost.

He was also on the ballot in Louisiana. (Like it really mattered)

Either way I couldn't of consciously vote for either one of those clowns, I voted my conscience and I'm proud of my decision.

How sad, I live in Louisiana and I did not know this. Of course I did not go vote today and my reasons are already listed in another thread.
