Why do you need a minimuim of 20 posts to chat? Im a new member and don't post that much but boy i can sure chat lol. So im just asking why is there a minimuim

I didn't know that. Not that it bothers me. I rarely use the chat facility and have the points anyway.

We're a very popular board, as you can probably tell by now. We had a rash of members not long ago register for the singular purpose of causing havoc in chat. Placing a minimum solved the problem and also forced members to settle-in to the community a bit before jumping into live chat.

It's like a 'safety' feature... only allowing chat to those who are... dedicated to ATS or something. Don't want just anybody coming on and flaming others.

This way, too... it might give chatters a chance to ignore somebody, by their reputation.
