Why is gas so low!?

HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE QUIET BEFORE THE STORM. I LIVE IN SO.CAL. LAST SUMMER EARLY FALL WE WERE UP TO $4.50 A GALLON NOW TODAY DEC 11TH 08 $1.63 GO FIGURE. OPEC SURE AS HELL DID NOT RAISE THERE OUTPUT. AMERICANS DIDN'T JUST DESIDE TO STAY HOME FOR A MONTH OR TWO.
JUST LOOK AT THE PRICE OF FOOD!

Its simple...less demand.

People losing their jobs, people conserving, more oil being produced than consumed, etc.

I think it has to do with OPEC "rewarding" us for our new "terrorist" friendly President-elect.
