Hillary is supporting Obama...Why?

I find it surprising that Hillary Clinton is strongly supporting Obama. She has to know that if Obama loses in 2008 that she could very well be a front-runner for 2012. What kind of deal did Obama make with Hillary?

How does a seat on the Supreme Court sound? If she can't be President, deciding our nations future through the courts might be a tempting offer. I think Hillary wins either way.

Maybe because they're in the same party?

John Kerry did not recieve this kind of support from Hillary in 2004 because of the same scenerio. At that time a Supreme Court nomination would not have carried the same weight...she had her sights firmly affixed on the White House.

Now defeated and badly humiliated, a Supreme Court appointment would make her stature rise a bit. Also if Obama happens to lose with her support, she is back in the race for 2012. It's a win-win situation for her.

Hillary may be openly supporting Obama but I bet when she actually casts her vote it will go for McCain. She has more to gain if McCain wins than if Obama does.

The Clintons will all cast their votes for McCain.
