McCain worker reaches deal in hoax assault

PITTSBURGH - A McCain campaign volunteer accused of making up a story about being robbed and assaulted in Pittsburgh by a man who disliked her McCain bumper sticker will enter a program for first-time offenders.


This seems somewhat appropriate. I hope she gets some help, it sounded to me like she was just looking for attention.

Ridiculous!! What she did SHOULD be considered a hate crime because she claimed a black man assaulted her face because of her political affiliation. Her lie was CLEARLY racially motivated.

The judge let her off light. The book should have been thrown at her to make an example of this woman, especially to other Republican party workers who would think about making similar false claims.
