Small balls that tail air planes

I wonder how many ghost and demon reports throughout history may indeed be interaction of the 'critters'

I too have seen this one time while flying on a plane (I used to fly a lot).

I didn't feel like it was extraterrestrial in nature, though it was certainly neat to see.

I think it's some kind of weather phenomenon that we just don't understand yet. Perhaps as the plane moves through the air, it does something to the air around it, and creates these balls of condensation or something which follow the jet.
