Just cause it was on hand and I had the time - again - I know I'm writing this to myself because no one checks these out, but I have to say something!!! Great band if you don't know The National - give it a chance!!!!!!!! (oldvid)

It's different at first but amazingly catchy as most of their tunes are - this is not even one of their best - but still amazing! Cool dude - I'll check it out - thanks! Later Later

Don't know the national very well but this is the song from them that I discovered a little while ago while surfing a top 40 list from Amsterdam:

They opened for Arcade Fire I believe in '06. From Cincinnatti, but have been in Brooklyn for a while - also they just toured with REM (?) and Modest Mouse. Here is another really cool one that displays their original lyrics, timing, style, drum beats, and finally sensibilities. Taken live from the DL Show, Mistaken for Strangers.
