Orbs in Illinois

On my way to work this morning around 7:15 am (central time U.S.) , I was listening to a radio program called "Mancow in the morning" which is broadcast out of Chicago. There were callers talking about red and orange orbs in the early morning skies, Mancow had stated that there had been hundreds of calls. One of the callers said he was from Rockford, IL and that he witnessed them on his way to work, the caller also stated that his father was in the military for 20+ years and that he had seen a lot of military craft and that these orbs were not acting like any conventional aircraft he had seen before. I have been looking but can't seem to find anything more other then what I heard this morning. Was there anyone else that was listening to his program or heard anything on this or is there anyone from that area?

I am a couple of hours south of there but haven't heard or seen anything on the news.
