This is a very peculiar shaped UFO I thought I'd share with you

RIJEKA, CROATIA – On September 27, 2008, an unidentified flying object was photographed in the sky above the Croatian coastal town of Rijeka. The three photographs were taken at 18:35:18 hours, 18:35:30 hours and 18:35:34 hours.

It seems that the UFO fell into the sea between the towns of Opatija and Kantrida.

It is a neat picture..lacking in any type of aerodynamic symmetry if I had to guess..orbital debris...next question any missing aircraft...within a 10 mile radius? Nice find Star and Flag.

Yes, I have been thinking about this a bit more. It can't be falling debris because it was hanging around for approx 20mins.

Then I thought mayby its some sort of weather balloon, but then where's the 'balloon' part of it?

I think it's an arrangement of helium filled bags or odd shaped balloons judging by the supplied photographs.

Thanks for putting the pics up IRM I think we did it at the same time lol.

Thats a great idea IRM
the story claims that the object fell into the ocean. I wonder what its motion was like before it fell. If it was slowly gliding down then that would definately support the helium balloons. But if it was hovering and flying then dropped suddenly that would not.

It would be good if the witness statement had more detail. I am currntly looking over the website trying to find someone to email about this to get more information. If anyone see's an email post it up here and I'll be glad to contact them if you don't want to.

At first glance of the first pic, it looks like a small outboard marine engine. Never seen one fly though... Where is the cable suspending it from a lift?

Is it a group of balloons; some of which have become deflated and are just hanging?

It certainly could be balloons but they are black, not the most festive colour for a big bunch of balloons, Or is this just a lack of light off the object?

Unfortunately the balloon question could be answered by a description of the objects motion which is sadly lacking from the article (or at least the translation).
I tried to join the site to leave a coment on the article but I didn't get a reply back and I couldn't join. So I emailed one of the admins and asked no only to join but if they could pass my email along to the author so I could ask more questions. I'll let you know what I hear back.

Also, back to balloons .It can't be balloons just tied together there appears to be a crossbar in the second pic. There is apparently three pictures taken so at the very least if I can get that last picture it might give us some more insight onto the structure.

it's some balloons tied together with a cross. Maybe there is a pet attached to the cross, some kind of joke i dont know.
