It's not saturated. The democrats have control, but I'm pretty sure it's far below 2/3's control. Saturated is, by far, the incorrect term to use there.

I think if I was you I might edit out the part where you accused him of knowing nothing:

House of Reps
Senate

Scroll to the bottom and you can see the numbers of control.

House of Representatives

Dems: 54%
Republicans: 46%

Senate

Dems: 49
Republicans: 49
Independents: 2

Care to recant that statement?

You don't know how to count do you? The Dems have 51 seats. Not 2/3 of the Senate. That means they can't over ride a veto. And how is it the Dems fault that MCCAIN SUSPENDED HIS CAMPAIGN TO GET THE BILL PASSED! BUSH SAID THAT IF THE BILL WASN'T PASSED THE COUNTRY WOULD FAIL! HIS TREASURY SEC. SAID THAT THE BILL NEEDED TO BE PASSED AND FOUGHT TO GET IT PASSED! So, are McCain, Bush, and the Bush Administration Democrats? No? Then stop trying to blame the Democrats for every thing when its the Republicans.

Let me guess.... you watch ... CNN!

Dont believe everything you hear.

Free your mind...

To be honest, I don't like that. I prefer it to be one way or the other. We had too many years of republicans in control of executive and legislative branches and I think the democrats could do just as badly.

However, as far as media goes... foxnews? Ever turn on the radio? Rush Limbaugh. You guys have plenty of support.

Thanks for the help. But I'm a gal thank you very much. And as you and I said the Dems do not have 2/3 of either house of Congress. They can't get anything passed because Bush vetoes anything they try to pass.

Don't believe McCain canceling an appearance on the Letterman show and suspending his campaign to PASS THE BILL! THE SAME BILL BUSH AND HIS ADMINISTRATION SAID NEEDED TO BE PASSED OR THE ECONOMY WOULD COLLAPSE! THE SAME BILL THAT WAS NOT WRITTEN BY DEMOCRATS BUT BY BUSH'S OWN TREASURY SEC.!

When a majority of the population of a country shares a set of beliefs it's not a cult, it's a movement.

As it's generally used, the word "cult" applies to those who do not think like you do. For example, Obama supporters are a "cult" while McCain supporters are exercising their right to vote in a free election.

I think it's a mistake to compare Obama to Carter. Carter lacked the ability to get his legislation through Congress, which is why so many of his good ideas failed. Obama has a demonstrated ability to work with others and to compromise when absolutely necessary. A better comparison would be to Clinton or, more precisely, Franklin D. Roosevelt (a scary idea, isn't it?
)

Personally, I plan to have a Kool-aid party on election night.

1. Obama-Murkowski-Allen Bill to ban dangerous mercury exports. Signed into law by President Bush today.

2. The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act. Worked closely with Sen. Coburn to draft and ultimately pass this measure. Pres. Bush signed it into law in September, 2006.

3. As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee he reached across the aisle in an effort to prevent nuclear terrorism and weapons proliferation, stop the genocide in Darfur and reduce global poverty.

3. His work on the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs; the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

These are just a few examples.
