I wasnt really up to date on this and ive only just watched the film on it now. I checked out their website and the "responses" and just had to laugh.

A paltry handful of people made the effort to send off in support of it. Really if thats the best support UFO curious people can come up with it explains everything.

You dont even have to believe everything they say, all you really have to do is be in favour of an open investigation and an end to the clandestine attitudes of NASA, Governments and Military on these subjects.

When so many credible people can get together, show themselves willing to testify under oath and try to push for disclosure you would honestly have thought that anyone involved with this field would have leapt to the support, pushed the news and encouraged everyone who would like to see an investigation and some form of addressing o facts done to send the faxes and emails and spread the word.

Its actually quite amusing, honestly I wonder if people truly want to know or if they only want to know if its conveniently listed on youtube

Was anyone around during the time of the Disclosure Project? What happened, why didnt it get support and pressure from more people?

Considering its 2008 and in three years between 01 and 04 theres only 78 responses, I think it kind of nails down how innefective UFO study truly is.

I guess from that very few people trully want to know or see for themselves. Some of its very far fetched but some of the NASA footage and retouched photos are pretty telling really. Why do that if you have nothing to hide on a matter thats no threat to security?

Im just curious really, anyone fill me in on the background of all this?

Please dont quote me on this but my thoughts are=

1. That he never made enough money on it.

2. He was told to clam up or may have been threaten.

3. the Media was told to pull the rug from under it as it never went world wide on national tv.

5. Alot of people were put off about the spiritual and enlightening, meditation side of it which he was pushing via cds and books.

Thats my opinions but no one realy nos, he did make an arse of himself with photos of some orbs or lights which he posted on his web page.

Also he claimed that he had many close sightings and craft at close proximity, basicaly one event was supposedly so close above thier heads if they stood up it would have been possible to touch the craft. But it seems funny that there are no phot's as evidence to his claims.

If you were on a field trip wouldnt you have a camera be it digital of video??.

Thats fair enough but then in this field even the best intending person would probably have some questionable material, its hard to sort truth from hoax after all.

With so many ex military, ex NASA and other people all giving evidence its pretty emphatic and telling how little came of it.

It certainly answers the question on how a secret organisation could cover stuff up. Theres only one answer apparently: EASILY.

Basically you can get hundreds of credible people giving evidence, willing to testify, telling everything and still nobody would believe a word of it

Its quite amazing just that in itself. If secret organisations are controlling all the real UFO stuff then they seem to have it all sown up, who cares about leaks? Apparently nobody is going to believe it even if you can get 400 of them to testify so they dont really have much to worry about!

Seriously #ed up. The NASA footage with the twelve mile long rod and all those "things" swarming round it was something truly awesome to see, god knows what they were but the conrol and the astronauts all saw them and it does make you wonder why NASA wouldnt bother to mention it or explain it doesnt it? Weird #, genuinely weird. That LA Battle thing was screwy also, I mean if a UFO can be filmed live getting bombarded to all hell above a major city and people still dont believe in UFOs....well it just about sums it up doesnt it?

What happened to the disclosure project?

Short Answer:

Steven Greer happened to it!

Steven Greer - UFOlogy's Own Worst Enemy

The Disclosure Project is doing just fine actually. The 2001 press conference was quite successful in that they were able to get the information out to many millions of people, although they did not get the Congressional hearings that they were pushing for. But I think much of what is happening in "Ufology" today can be traced back to the efforts of Greer and Project Starlight/Disclosure Project.

Since then the focus has shifted to the technologies - the Orion Project and all that. Do they really have anything? Who knows? One thing that ATS could do to find out is to go meet with Bearden and Bedini, or assemble a team of engineers and try to replicate one of their magnetic motors....

the last I heard of Greer.. is on the ufo watchdog site.. they have pretty much called him a nut case.. he has lost all credibility with the ufo network.

No.

Try talking to some people who actually KNOW Greer, people who work with or have worked with him, and you will get a very different story

Well in theory if he had been telling the truth and his 400 ex professional witnesses who were willing to testify to their stories were being honest, id imagine that certain people would do everything to paint him as a nut wouldnt you?

On an interesting note, I remeber seeing Dan Akroyd talking about his show being pulled before going live on the night he had Greer and someone else as guests. Just a little consipiracy tidbit.

well.. if they would of just stuck with the basics... instead of all the talk of channeling visits to venus.. and mars.. moon bases .. underground cities.. hollow earth... they might of had an inkling of integrity.. but it was way to far out there to be taken serious.

That's interesting silver6ix. I specifically recall Dan Akroyd saying "I think he [Steven Greer] is the real deal" in a different interview....

And yes, there are some who don't want to see his credibility established on the internet

If this gives you any perspective, the witnesses to roswell were supposedly told by men in military uniform that "their bones would be found in the desert" if they didn't keep quiet.

So I wouldn't see it as too much of a stretch that they were all told to stfu or their families would be buried beside them.

Which would be more important to you, getting to truth out to millions of people you don't know, or the lives of your children, spouse, grandchildren etc?

Im not sure I ever heard of that stuff in the DP myself. Anyone confrim this, or post links to it?

Underground bases maybe, but channeling, ect im not sure.

Moon bases and Mars bases wouldnt be that far fetched if some of the statements were true to be fair.

I'm pretty sure the days of people getting whacked for disclosing information and truth are over, ashamedamerican. Greer, Loder, Bearden and all them are doing just fine. Gilliland is quite alive and well. So are Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich and Jesse Ventura. Oh and Alex Jones and Jordan Maxwell, and that guy who made "Zeitgeist", and, and.....

I didn't say they were "whacked for disclosing information"

And your right other means are employed now.
When you can publicly discredit, surpress information, and manipulate media, it doesn't leave a giant finger pointing at you.

I STILL wouldn't be a bit surprised to hear that they were intimidated and/or threatened though.
