I agree totally ExistenceUnknown, we are in the age of information and everyone with a cell phone can take a photograph now.

. The fact is that by not providing proof you are contributing to the disinfo.
I agree, and that's the problem, some people are obvious when they fabricate things, but there's many who just subtly spice things up in a way that makes you say, "hmmm maybe?"

There are clearly people on ATS who sensationalize and sometimes just outright fabricate things.
I have to respectfully disagree, true that not everything has evidence lying around but a story without proof belongs in the fiction section. Even the most unbelievable story should always have some verifiable facts such as records of concrete orders for bases or locations of crashes where one should be able to visit the area. Nothing happens without evidence, every test plane crash in USAF history has left pieces of wreckage long after even the most through cleanups. The truth may be every bit as sensational as the poster claims, but I really feel in the year 2008 there's no excuse to not have some form of proof.

In regards to the question in the title, ATS is one of the most valid sources of info on the net. It is not up to the original poster to provide proof of anything. There is no such thing as "burden for proof". It is up to the reader to determine the truth for themself. After all, you're the only one in control of your thoughts. Disinformation is rampant so it's the only option.
