how long will it be until people are hacking our thoughts and making us all go crazy, omg i think i hear voices, time for the tinny cap!!

that's both really cool and terribly frightening

on one hand, we would have the ability to instantly communicate with each other no matter the distance

on the other hand, our very thoughts could potentially be tapped into and used against us.

Imagine that, a society where we can read each others thoughts. Knowing who cares for us, and who doesn't give a crap. Knowing if someone wants to commit crime. Actually I bet crime levels would decrease. But of course, we are an adapting race, therefor some will find a way around this.
