I do believe that the crisis could be over. Why would you create a system that you couldn't control? Someone flipped the switch to throw the system into chaos—someone can flip it back.

The only question is why.

This crisis is far from over. The current economic system will eventually collapse. My estimation is the early 2010s (2010-2012).

An economy doesn't necessarily collapse within months, it can take years.

Before this financial crisis started, I wrote this would be coming. Many said I was selling nonsense. Those who told me so have no disappeared.

With the derivative market just beginning to unwind, I'm afraid our economic rat's nest will become a black hole nightmare.

A £516 trillion derivatives 'time-bomb'

Source: The Independent

The market is worth more than $516 trillion, (£303 trillion), roughly 10 times the value of the entire world's output: it's been called the "ticking time-bomb".

It's a market in which the lead protagonists – typically aggressive, highly educated, and now wealthy young men – have flourished in the derivatives boom. But it's a market that is set to come to a crashing halt – the Great Unwind has begun.

I think the financial emergency is over -- maybe only temporarily. The headlines turned away from the finances and pay attention toward the fluctuating market and the economy is mentioned often.

Any near financial panic results in silent runs on the banks. If the opposite takes place, decibel-wise, I think the crisis is really over.
