So I watched the Betty and Barney Hill story last week on TV and what really caught my attention was when they mentioned that Betty had drawn a star map of Zeta Reticuli that wasn't even discovered yet by our astronomers until a decade later. This was the first I've heard of this story and it lit a fire under to to investigate. I found numerous articles pertaining to that particular case but there's not much info on it other than their story. I then came across the Project Serpo website and was awestruck by some of the stories on there and I read numerous of them over a couple of days time. I then came across this site and you guys seem to believe that Serpo is a huge hoax. I also just came across this guy named Billy Meier who who has some incredible stories and photos of things I can barely begin to imagine but apparently he's a phony too.

I don't study this stuff on a normal basis but I am a HUGE believer on ET intelligence and look at it from a scientific standpoint. I want to know the truth even if it's not pretty for man. Why does all this stuff have to be so secretive and why on earth do people think they need to make crap up like this?

Is there any truth to either one of these references I've mentioned? Is there any truth to anything ET that we know of? Or do we still only know as much as we did 20 years ago. Not a whole lot other than the government is covereing something up regarding ET's?

Hi ls1cameric - and a hearty welcome to ATS!

Yes the B&B Hill case is by far one of the most compelling yet. Mainly because it happened in a time when abductions weren't part of the pop culture like today. In todays day and age anyone wishing to create/report an abduction experience has a fully formed template with which to guide them.

The Star Map is very interesting, as was the minor surgery they performed on Betty that was related to her fertility.. i.e a probe through the naval. When she spoke of this, surgeons of the time dismissed/debunked it saying there was no such surgery. Today it's common place! In fact, my girlfriend recently underwent such a surgery.

The Serpo Project is admittedly a great read but as you will find on previous threads posted at this fine website, it was unfortunately a hoax... or so goes the current consensus.

Have fun separating the wheat from the chaff. It can be hard sometimes but it's worth persevering. You never know when that 'diamond in the rough' is going to pop up!

Up in the upper right hand corner of the page you'll find a site search box. Type in a term like Serpo or Betty and Barney Hill and you'll find more than you probably wanted to know.

Another cool place to look is the ATS Tin Wiki. You can find it linked in the bar at the top of every page. Read, contribute, discuss.

And of course, The Handbook is pretty useful and can be found linked from the Member Center which is also available as a link at the top of each page and shows as MemCenter.

Welcome and enjoy your stay.

Another aspect of the Hill case that skeptics seem to ignore is that Pease AFB had a radar confirmation of an unknown anomaly at the same time of the Hills' sighting and abduction. The physical evidence for the case is very strong too.

Good luck in figuring out the good stuff from the bad stuff. You will find many researchers divided on some of the big cases out there, but it is fun to try and sort it out.

Welcome to ATS.

Under hypnosis, Barney Hill also described seeing what he termed "a Nazi" on board the alien craft.

Just throwing that out there.

The Hill case is one of the very few credible abduction stories. There's also a movie about the Hill case starring James Earl Jones called "Interrupted Journey" (imdb lists it as "The UFO Incident" aka "Interrupted Journey") that gives a nice account of the story.

The Hill case is most intriging and very well documented for its time..

Here is a picture of Betty Hill's "Star Map"

Here is a mordern comparison of the known systems in question:

I find the similarities remarkable. This info was clearly planted or given to Betty, by whom OR what is the real question and remains a mystery to this day ..welcome to ATS and good luck on your quest for knowledge.
