Search function failure to provide results

I've tried both search functions. The one to the right of the screen with the transparent google lettering, and the one midway in the over bar. I have even tried such broad terms as "politics".

But nothing. Something to do with points?

I got tons of results when I typed in politics. I doubt it has anything to do with points..it's a search feature.

What message are you receiving?

I get nothing
not even an error message.
It just says google ATS search function. But shows no results.

There is another thread on this but so what, I'll comment here too.

Recently I searched keywords in a particular thread I knew for a fact should bring a result and got no hits. Manually rummaging the thread revealed that the very keywords I was searching were there-- the reply poster's name and a word in that post.

Things aren't quite being indexed properly.

Search function still fails to provide results.

Could it possibly be something in my tools settings?
And if so can you gues at which one?
