www.cnn.com...

CNN contributor David Gergen, who has advised Democratic and Republican presidential administrations, said Thursday that the negative tone of these rallies is "incendiary" and could lead to violence.

I never really got why it was so many of the members commenting on the Obama riots post thought that us liberals would be rioting... They tried to blame it on black American’s! Yes I agree there are examples of poor sections of typically urban communities who riot when they feel slighted or fragrantly abused by the police, however I would like you all to find a reliable source quoting death threats to McCain!

One member of the Palin audience in Jacksonville, Florida, Tuesday shouted out "treason." And at another rally in the state Monday, Palin's mention of the Obama-Ayers tie caused one member to yell out: "kill him" -- though it was unclear if it was targeted at Obama or Ayers.

Please explain to me why this "up-standing" citizen was not arrested for publicly threatening a presidential candidate? Do you think someone could have gotten away with openly publically threatening Bush during the last election? How many people would be up in arms if someone started yelling kill McCain?

Believe me I hate the current adminstration and would love for the American people to take back this country but I do not blame Obama for the current problems! Maybe he is not the solution but hey if you are going to yell "kill" why not it at least be directed to the appropriate individuals!

I may join in. Not rioting int he sense of looting and stealing from businesses but in the sense of going down to election offices and raising hell.

Too much voter fraud on Obamas side already coming up here in Florida. Its not really in the main stream media but local outlets have picked up on it and they are cracking down big time.

If people begin rioting in any country where a preferred candidate loses, then democracy has failed in that country.

But I think McCain realizes his supporters are out of control. They're saying things like:

"Oh noes, socialist!"

And that he's an Arab and all of the other concerns that fascists from the deep south would have.

If McCain can't get those supporters under control, a lot of people sitting on the fence will end up voting for Obama anyway.

Here is what I now believe is going to happen...

The economic crisis will continue... (ok no surprise there) but the next 3 sectors to collapse will be the retail, lesuire/services, and manufactoring.
This is going to be caused by the fact that many of these companies in the first two sectors make most of thier money during the christmas and summer vacation season respectably. Pardon me for being the grinch here but "there ain't gona be a christmas this year, son!" How many of you were able to go on vacation this last summer? I at least was bearly able to buy food or pay for gas, let alone leave the immediate area! Both of these sectors have shown either lower than expected or negative earnings. There are a lot of store, motel/hotel chains and small businesses that fit into these sectors that are basically BEARLY hanging on(the only ones really doing well are cheap stores like Family Dollar and Walmart) ! A bad christmas season is going to put many over the edge and when the 4th quarter earnings come out in late Janurary you are going to see a BUNCH of them crash and burn, massive layoffs and bankrupcies! Kind of like what started happening to the banking industary during the last year! Execpt I think it is not going to drag on over several months but happen in a span of a few short weeks....

The poo is going to hit the fan around the same time Obama is sworn in as the next president (yes he is going to win)! All these people the same ones who are screaming kill him at these rallies are going to blame it all on him! Of course most of them are now going to have a lot of time on thier hands now that they have been layed off... Many (not all, but many) McCain supporters in rural areas are gun owners (which is thier right, I am cool with that) some are extremly racist soon you have the perfect conditions for a flash point! Then the riots, presidential assinatino plots ect... Martial law (you can throw in some FEMA camps here if you are so inclined.......)! Do not get me wrong I am down with taking down the government but not so sure I want that guy yelling at that rally to be the one ruling the country either!

I agree - It is not by chance that voter rosters are being cleansed
in the 6 most competitive states this year.

Every four, the same thing goes down...

Voted fraud somehow justifies voter suppression?

MACHETES will be needed!

VERY close to loco

At the time Gore was disenfranchised I was still to young to really understand.

I will say that I sent several letters and phone calls when it came to voter fraud in Ohio in 2004. This was before I was republican and was a Kerry supporter (despite being too young to vote).

I'm against voter fraud all together and would fight regardless of which party is on the end of fraud.

You have every right to be bitter. Ive always been a Gore supporter myself and think hed be better off than Hillary or Obama. That being said, you have a right to be bitter, but two wrongs don't make a right.

good to know where your heads at. I agree, Gore is better than al lthe above at the moment. There was indefinitely voter fraud in Ohio in 04. Glad to see you are far more level headed than I thought. Only cause you have attacked me a few times. I too am young but I got to vote in 04 and feel cheated.

Let me assure you though, whats happening in Florida now, pales in comparison, and Im sure it will be fixed when the lawyers arrive. Its the fraud that happens on election day, and the days following that will concern me.

I've called you out once or twice, don't take it too harshly
. Despite being ticked off numerous times by people that in MY OPINION are not right, we can all still have a healthy debate, afterall the forum is here for that very reason.

Voter fraud has been existent for a long time. In the end its really all about how well suppressed the reports on it are.

I actually voted for Gore in 2000, and the whole election debacle can be laid at the feet of his advisors. He should have allowed the certification of the vote and demanded a recont of the entire state. Instead his advisors tried to stop certification of the intitial figures and then tried to cherry pick 4 heavily Democratic counties for a recount. Which is a violation of the Equal Protection clause and why he lost in the Supreme Court.

Riots highly unlikely on the McCain side most republicans know that Bush left them crap sandwich and its an uphill battle, that the race is this close is the amazing thing at this point. Then again depending on how deep the ACORN fraud abuse seems to be I think you could see seccesion movements spring up in several areas of the country.

I'm not a huge McCain supporter, but I will riot if it looks like I can get a free TV, or set fire to some patrol cars at the mall. I think most of the suburbs are fairly flame-retardant. So maybe middle class people will shout "melt baby melt" or some such.

Yeah, that's it. I'll throw a brick through the storefront at best buy and then take off with all the wii's I can cram into the hatch of my SUV. Maybe hit the Subway at the mall and swipe all their asiago bread. Maybe set up a shell corporation or two, unregister my shotgun, etc. you know, go CRAZY!

Then drill for oil in the middle of main street! With our bare hands!

.

Voter fraud on Obama? After 2000 Florida and 2004 Diebold you and any republican have the gall to talk about voter fraud? No way in hell is this happening. Or is it "We've done it so many times we can spot it from a mile away."

So your saying because a couple crooks got away with it that the dems should be allowed to cheat? Correct me if im wrong.

Either way you cut it, voter fraud is wrong on all sides of the fence. I dont care if you are republican, democratic, independent or other. Its still wrong and as i've already said "two wrongs don't make a right".

Its that mind set that will be the demise of our country. People don't have morals and fail to truly distinguish right from wrong.

There will be no riots no matter who wins. Even if there was a riot it would be under false pretense The real reason for a riot would be to steal things. Do you really think the LA riots was about Rodney King?

Yes I believe that is why the unrest started but by about the middle and end no one gave a poop about Rodeny King, just wanted to get thier TV's and VCR's! Although I will say that several mid western colleges have rioted for completely nothing, so even if 1/3 of the people were in it to fight against police brutality, that is better than most of the roits on college campuses!

I think that dpending how is handle it could very well lead to a ver deep civil unrest or worst Civil War.

(Putting my conspiracy hat on)

John Titor talks about this, about Civil War in the U.S. about this time, I know is four years removed from his predictions, but you know about timelines and stuff.

IMO, what is broiling is the PERFECT STORM that can lead to civil unrest and civil war, you all know that many positions of power are held by whites, and the way the the McCain campaign is finishing the election would not be pretty. The are placing the seeds of fear, hate, distrust in the mind of their voters. And you can already see it manifesting in the campiagn stops, people chanting terrorist, kill him, traitor, liar and using the N word when referring to Obama. Add to that the fact that they are also telling their people that the elections are going to be stolen. McCain supporters I would say are been put on the edge by those who leads them.

You combine that with the economic fears and all other things that we have going on and you get that PERFERCT STORM that im talking about.

And although I can see the black folk rioting and on the streets looting and that kind of stuff, I can also imagine the white folk with their guns shooting and lynching black folks and causing all kinds of trouble... why? because BOTH had happen before!

You got Asiago bread at your Subway? Damn.....

Seriously, I didn't think that McCain voters would riot, but after this ACORN stuff started to rear it's ugly head, I wouldn't doubt they'll be in the streets.
