Ahh, the "Network." That was a good and prophetic movie.

What are WE going to do with this anger.

Here's some food for thought, perhaps: Violent Protest is not the Answer

In the worst case scenario current anger will turn to rage. Under such circumstances effective protest may not be what first comes to mind, I believe.

Not prophetic. It dealt with the issues at the time. It is NOT true that it is worse now than then. Every new generation thinks their problems are worse and their times are worse, but they are not.

When that was made, Nixon was still on peoples minds, the Cold War was in full swing, we had just been through the gas shortage, Vietnam had just ended, unemployment was higher than it is now, income was lower than it is now and the standard of living was lower than it is now. Race issues were far more of a problem and Women were just starting to leave the home for the workplace. Day Care was becoming a controversial reality and the Good Old Boys were in control of much of the country. Hollyweird was abandoning morality and crime was rising dramatically along with drug use and availability.

Even though that movie is as relevant today as it was then, it was in fact about what was going on then. We as a society seem to have no memory beyond the current generation.
