"French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who convened the Oct. 4 meeting, called for a global summit 'as soon as possible'' to implement `a real and complete reform of the international financial system.' He said `all actors' must be supervised, including credit-rating firms and hedge funds. Executive-pay systems must also be reviewed, he said. `We want a new world to come out of this,' Sarkozy said. `We want to set up the basis for a capitalism of entrepreneurs, not speculators.' Bloomberg.com

There has been much conspiracy talk online about the financial crisis being engineered, and reading this quote made by French President Sarkozy made me wonder if there is some merit in it.

Are our old systems being torn down to be replaced by a "new" one?
Is this another part of the setting up of a new world order?

sarkozy says a lot of things, the guy is a loose cannon....but.....eh.....isn't that what we, the people, want aswell. the power and the money being given to the people who do the work instead of those exploiting us?

Actually, if you look at the second part of that sentence, he is saying exactly what many of us said really caused this world-wide crisis, namely speculation. It was the speculators in real estate that caused the housing bubble that eventually had to, and did burst. There were even TV shows, such as Flip This House, that encouraged speculation. The same goes for the stock markets.

Regardless of what you think of him, I hope that what he said comes true. We need people to invest, not speculate. Investing means putting THEIR own money at risk, not gambling with ours.

Well, New World Order or not, don't we all want a new world to come out of all this? Aren't all of us tired of the people and scenarios that got us into this mess in the first place? Don't we all want to see an end to seeing the little guy get screwed? A stop to seeing our friends and families being sent to wars in order to ring their cash registers?

What that new world will be is another matter. However, this current old world needs to be replaced, no doubt about it.

The REAL question is ....

Who is "we"?

Does he mean the global population? Or does he mean the elite corporatists who have been inconvenienced by their masters sudden withdrawal of "The Almighty Credit".

The problem is, and I'm sure they mostly are aware of it, basing the entire economic model around the ludicrous practice called "Fractional Reserve Banking."

THAT is the seed and heart of the problem. The notion that 'money' is something 'virtual' that must be accepted on faith.

Remove that 'notional assumption', that 'paradigm of religious adherence' to the Bankers game, and all this other nonsense goes away... including the wealth drain on the economies of sovereign states by parasitic service organizations who's time has come.

Are you serious?

This whole disaster has been instigated by the people who are now calling for change.
Its a set up, people have been going on about this for the last couple of hundred years and its still happening.

Being forcefully coerced (albeit many of us willingly) through shock and suffering into a 'New World' where there will be more control over our day to day lives isn't something to be proud of.

This isn't going to stop the little guy getting screwed.. this is just gonna through another tub of lube at him.

The central bank is purposefully crashing the world economies so that they can inplement the new world currency and the police state. The NWO is making their move.

Global economic terrorism 101.

And guess who will be there to "bail out" the world economies.

The whole thing would be entirely unbelievable if it wasnt so very real and terrifying.

The major deceit that concerns most about the possible dawning of the new world order, or even the end times scenario which is similar, is that it would be an appealing notion to the public. Almost seductive. Yet the people end up losing MUCH more than they gain.

I suppose such a shift though is inevitable, but in the process lives will be ruined and lost by the crafter of such a world. In order to set such a thing in motion many average people will be ruined...then begging for a solution.

They have the solution already drafted.

Excellent point Max.

I personally don't think I am included in his "we".

interesting points, it makes it difficult for me to know how to react to the outcome of the situation we're in. if it's a change, it's bad, if it's the same, it's bad. what do we want again?

Oh yes, I understood what he was saying on the surface. I certainly didn't think he was blatantly bragging about setting up the "new world order" as some conspiracy theorists have come to understand it. That would be foolish.

At the same time though I think more than one thing is being said and happening here. My point was that since Sarkozy has been accused by conspiracy theorists as being part of the NWO plot, and if this crisis was engineered, then this "new world" he mentions, even in the obvious context he says it in, isn't going to stop simply with changing our approach to finance and economy.

I think that's a mighty fine post my man, the key point being the "NWO are making their move".

An excellent quote I read today about this concerted move from several institutions to cut interest rates at the same time, and pump money into the financial system, was this "They've (banks) got additional capital now if they want it, they've got an unlimited source of liquidity,".

Now, if you are of the opinion that the banks are the true powers in this world (as they have funded all of the major wars, and the Rothschilds and owners of the Federal Reserve etc seem to part of the Bilderberg group and other clandestine groups with access and influence over government policies), and that money is power (as evidenced by the Presidential race these days pretty much being decided by who has the most money to spend to get themselves into office) then something very significant happened today. The money these people could get their hands on and use in their war to drive forward the NWO just became unlimited. They just gained access to all of it. So, if money = power, then today the NWO got access to unlimited money, and therefore unlimited power.

You hear Sarkozy say the NW catch phrase and bells go off here, but he is a French politician--and right now not a very popular president at that--and he is speaking to a French audience. You hear it through NWO ears, but that was not his intent.

What he is saying is actually a not-too-subtle attack on the US and the UK--which the French lump together as the "anglo-saxons" and the freewheeling, unregulated speculation/capitalism that both practice, and has led the world into this economic meltdown.

He's saying that that has got to end, now. He's reasserting a very French view of economics, that the government has an essential oversight role and that "free" (read unregulated) markets can't be trusted.

His "new world" is a call to order, but not a NWO. More like economic sanity, what should have been in place all along and would have largely prevented this disaster.

It is a world wide financial hijacking.

A strong armed robbery to the tune of trillions of world dollars.

Once they have control of all of the world economies the next phase comes, complete and unchallenged control.

It is coming, believe it or don't. Denial won't make one bit of difference. The police state is on its way.

Oh, I agree that he is certainly a suspect in the grand scheme of a one world government. I was just making the point that at least he recognizes that speculation was in large part to blame for the current crisis. What bothers me is that Congress and Bush have done NOTHING to curtail the speculation, so the speculators will continue to drive us into bankruptcy.

I just want to add to my point in my earlier post about money = power. If you go to the Zeitgeist thread and watch it www.abovetopsecret.com... you'll see that what is happening in the financial markets right now back up the idea that the NWO is making a move. It outlines how banks make money out of thin air, to constantly keep people in debt, to control them. As it says, "Debts is the weapon used to conquer and enslave societies", and what the politicians have done, and what Bush called for, is for society to take on a $700 billion debt, and therefore, enslaved us, and brought us under greater control.

It's a great piece which explains my points in more depth, and it's the first part of the movie. If you haven't watched, check it out.

No offence, but did you actually understand my post? Did you miss the part where I typed "What that new world will be is another matter". I didn't advocate anyone's New World Order - can you point to where I did? I merely said that this present 'Old Word' is messed-up beyond belief and we needed a change. How, from that, did you get to the point where you seemed to think I was supporting Sarkozy or anyone else that's shafting the little guy?

So I ask you, "are you serious"?
