So, apparently Iceland (the country itself) made some really bad investments and their debts are now several times the size of their entire economy. This is really worrisome because I had thought up until just now that Iceland was an extremely stable country in just about every way. I'll try to keep an eye on this further, and welcome anyone to turn this into a proper ATSNN article or breaking news.

Iceland was stable and fine until this occured. Debts several times the size of the economy? Unbelievable. I'd be very interested in seeing how they handle this.

They are going to borrow 4 Billion Euros from Russia. They also got an offer to borrow 500 million Euros from Norway.
