He can try and argue this, but I think really Nader will attract more people dissatisfied with Obama. While both Paul and Nader are less authoritarian than the major parties are at the moment, Nader is much more left wing in pure economic terms, to a point that I don't believe most conservatives could get on board with him.

Matt Gonzalez, Nader's running mate, is even more far Left than Obama is. And Gonzalez is complaining Obama sold out the Left, and doesn't even represents the Left anymore. Just as McCain/Palin wooed away disaffected conservative Hillary Democrats, Nader/Gonzalez will take disaffected staunch Liberal voters from Obama. Or finally there will be people like me, who don't like either McCain or Obama, and vote 3rd party.
