xrumer2.JPGXRumer is a Windows program that posts forum, blog, private message, and guestbook spam with the aim of boosting search engine rankings. It is able to bypass techniques commonly used by many websites to deter automated spam, such as account registration, CAPTCHAs, and e-mail activation before posting, however the older versions still had trouble with 'fancier' CAPTCHA. Not anymore.

This time those evil Russian bastards have not only managed to crack Googles captcha, but they've also figure out how to beat those horrible 'click on the cutest cat' style CAPTCHA tests. It's amazing!

This means Google and microsoft websites are open to spammers.

The reason why spammers/hackers found a way to reverse the captcha image.

I also have heard myspace is also open to this since they use the same style called a cat style captcha.

This just shows they don't work and it's really annoying when we have to deal with these captcha.

So this means any website that uses a captcha security system they will be bypassed.

This was done by Russian hackers. SO now captcha system will not secure anything.

If you don't know what a captcha is .... it is those images they have you type which these images are automated generated by programming scripts.

Great catch! I think this kind of vigilance should be rewarded, unfortunately I am limited to Star and Flag.

Captcha is a programming term that we use which is a website security system against the spmmmers.

We code scripts that randomly generate 5 or more images of letters or numbers.

So now google,microsoft, myspace and many other website that uses this system to prevent spammers now will not prevent spammers but encourage them since this is public news.

So any website that uses this system they are open currently to any spamming attacks.

The reason people use these is to make sure your human and not a program that automates registers and starts spamming web forums or anything else.

I myself never used this system since I knew it's annoying. I made my own script that would find out who is spanning and then auto ban them from my website.
