No one I know is talking about the economic situation

Books, it is so refreshing to know that people still read them. My son is a very successful 35 year old that told me a couple of days ago that he finally got around to reading 1984 and Animal Farm. My 7th grade English teacher almost got fired for making those books required reading. That was 45 years ago. It is so bad where I am located now that we went without a bookstore for 8 years. When I go there I am usually the only person browsing the shelves. It's a good thing for me though, their prices are great. Now if I wasn't addicted to ATS I could read more, and alienate even more people than I already do.

my dad was very worried about his money last week ! not heard his opinion of late as he never answers the phone!

my mother went to mass last Sunday and the Evil one was mentioned, don't ask me in what context i stopped listening after that!

know one else has mentioned it, its been like a dirty word!!

Pretty much the same today...I got a couple people to talk about it at work but that's it.
