Aids over 100 Years Old?

There is a good possiblity that AIDS is that old. Diseases have a hard time gaining a foothold and creating plagues until people come together in large numbers. The Black Plague that struck London was due, in part, to the fact that so many people were jammed into such a small area. That made it attractive for the rats, and easy for the fleas to make the jump to humans.
But it sort of does away with Reverend Wright's statement that AIDS was created by the white man to kill off the black man, doesn't it?

Fascinating article, and the methodology of tracing the "family tree" of AIDS to its roots makes perfect sense in estimating the dawn of the outbreak.

My father, a retired physician, realized in the early 80s that a neighbor's son, who had died in the early 1970s of a mysterious wasting disease after years spent in Africa, had actually contracted AIDS.

So this timeline makes perfect sense; AIDS was clearly circulating, undiagnosed, a full decade before it was recognized in the US.

could this just be more propoganda spewed forth by TPTB? has anyone watched the Strecker Memorandum???

Also, not to forget the number of people trying to escape the plague, who actually brought it with them to Blighty.

And then there was Spanish Flu, which spread rapidly after WWI, when all the displaced people (including soldiers) returned home.

It's all fascinating, and highly morbid.
