Well, the Iranian new agency doesn't quote McCain correctly. McCain simply states that the President has the ability to start taking action now to
shore up the economy, not that GW should bypass congress. He doesn't say "Spend a Trillion from the Treasury". That is a complete lie. He says
to start buying up some of these loans now, while this deal is being worked out. The money has already been allocated. If money has already been
approved, why isn't action being taken now. McCain is right.
McCain is also taking the political courage to stand up for passage of this legislation, even though it is not being supported by the public, because
he feels it is best for the country, and he points this out. We have too many people in this country whose main technique is to committ to nothing,
then claim to be part of the solution in the end, when they failed to take a stand throughout the process. Of course they go after everyone they can
for any mistake that might have been made.
McCain continues to show leadership, while Obama continues to wait on the sidelines, to jump in when it is politically convenient. It is really sad
that people can't tell leadership from political gamemanship. This is how we got GW.
