Where is the outrage from you democrats?!

You self-righteously claim to speak for the "little" man in this country meanwhile MOST of your representative wanted to pass this bill.

Despite all your rhetoric that ONLY Republicans speak for the rich and the slime on Wall street, here we have a clear case that DEMOCRATS are worse.

It isn't dead yet and I have a strong suspicion that the Republicans are going to be switching their votes on Thursday. This is political posturing not some clear cut case of Dems bailing out the elite while the Republicans are looking out for the little man.

I know you are 100% correct, they are going to try again. But the fact that the MAJORITY of democrats that's 60% voted IN FAVOR, is astonishing. And leaves me flabbergasted...

I don't know why I found that so funny, but I laughed out loud.

While it's true that the majority of the republicans voted no, it's clear that they voted no in fear of their own seats. They are actually right now stuck holding the ball where the reason for the bailout is concerned and if I were to have any hope of maintaining even a slim minority in the house I'd be pandering to the voters too.

Liberal Vitriol aside,

The majority of Republicans are, yes, for the little guy. Unfortunately the power elite knows no class, and you do see that; 65 republicans still voting 'aye'.

Don't forget this is also the house, where the Democrats love to write ridiculously long-winded legislature, and this one fit the bill! (OMG PUN!)

I imagine that the yea/nay among senators, should it ever get to the senate, be more in line with public interest, but then again that could just be wishful thinking.

We have been constantly hammering this to the democrats that nothing is going to change, but they still think Obama is different. That's he's the messiah of Change...meanwhile I just heard an interview on TV that Obama has no problem with bailing-out Wallstreet, his only gripe is that he wants to spread MORE loot around for everybody.

Bail out wall street and then ride out the ensuing depression. (Good night, John Boy)

Or bail it out, and maybe see a little return on it.

Personally, I can survive through a depression. But I know that countless of my countrymen cannot.

I know. I agree that the people that think that Obama actually represents "real change" are kidding themselves. I also think that there are plenty of delusional republicans out there. I would say that there are pretty similar number of delusional people on both sides.

Yes you are correct we have a choice:

Don't vote for this Bail-Out:
1) And we'll get a serous recession maybe depression.



or



Vote for the Bail-Out and:
1) Save a few of the suckers that bought MBS. (Save their skin)

2) Still face a recession (no escaping this sucker) with possible depression.

3) And risk FED induced hyperinflation.



Personally, I'd rather just have the recession above, than bail-out a few and risk the dollar crashing, wouldn't you?

Is this really a partisan issue? In the grand scheme of things, I mean.
Look, I know we're getting all sorts of crud from the media talking about "The Dems did this" and "The Repubs did that," but this issue is so far beyond red or blue that any partisanship is moot.

Various members of either party nitpicking each other over whose reps voted which way isn't going to solve the problem and it's not going to move the conversation forward any. Let the media duke it out at the kids' table, and let the grownups really buckle down, put aside political differences, and educate ourselves on what's happening and where we go from here.

We're better than the petty bickering, aren't we?

The purpose of my post is to motivate more of the DEMOCRATIC constituency to pick-up their slack. To show them the hypocrisy, to enrage them, to no longer be duped, to realize that they need to stand-up...and make their voices heard!!

More so them, since they hold the MAJORITY in the house, all they need to pass this is a few of them turning their nays to ayes after all.

Our elected officials from both parties are behaving like dirty, used-car-salesmen, trying to suck us into an overpriced, lemon with a horrible interest rate, one we don’t need and can’t afford. The advertising for this yearend blowout is through the msm. Behind the partition; the finance managers (our lawmakers) who draw-up the crooked contract, hiding the grim truth deep in the details.

It’s easy to get confused between the dealerships (democrats and the republicans), but look closely and you will see, both sides run the same crappy deals. Tomorrow you’ll get the hook when Bush speaks. How these people sleep at nights is a mystery.

Alas, this culture of corruption runs from the very top of the waterfall to the bottom of the pond. We need something new. Perhaps it’s time for the ‘muppet god’ platform.
