U.S. SPENDING IN IRAQ
Spent & Approved War-Spending - About $600 billion of US taxpayers' funds. In June 2008, President Bush signed a bill approving about 200 billion
more for 2008, which brings the cumulative total to close to $800 billion.

Does anyone else notice the remarkable similarity in the numbers we are talking about?
So here's a simplistic idea.
Spend the money used for war-mongering and illegal/fraudulent/disillusioned/pointless occupation of Iraq on the destroyed U.S economy instead.
Not on the grossly obscene C.E.O pay-offs for a job horrendously done, but where it's actually needed.
I mean,if the government has money to spare on arms development and occupations anyway.
It's like 'YOU' going hungry.. when you have money in the bank to pay for a Ferrari or a holiday villa.
Just a matter of priorities.
But then again, maybe I'm just dumb.
