Taking others psychic abilities...

I started thinking about this today. Having empathy I am able to feel other peoples emotions. This started as far back as I can remember but then I realized later in life the emotions I felt I could project into other people. So I started thinking, would it be possible that by seeing a psychic ability done or possibly experiencing the effect by having someone do it on you or by doing it once would it be possible for you to be able to do it simply by putting down the buffer or barrier in your own mind that might be stopping you from doing it?

Sure.

The mind is a powerfull thing. It can keep you from doing just about anything.

That in itself isn't very significant. I'd like to think that most people have empathy and only the likes of a sociopath wouldn't have empathy.

Yes, as surprising at it seems, even children have empathy. Amazing little creatures, aren't they?

Again, nothing particularly significant here; people's moods have a habit of rubbing off on other people, sometimes when we're not even aware of it. I've done it consciously myself - and I'm sure there's many on here that would admit to it too - I've been in a argumentative mood and have purposely riled other people into same frame of mind so I could have my row. On the other hand, I've also had friends who were feeling down, when I wasn't, and I've successfully cheered them up.

So I started thinking, would it be possible that by seeing a psychic ability done or possibly experiencing the effect by having someone do it on you or by doing it once would it be possible for you to be able to do it simply by putting down the buffer or barrier in your own mind that might be stopping you from doing it?

No offence, but having read some of your other threads this morning, do you read comics or watch a lot of television?
