In my college I'm attending the students in my morning class like to touch their face, put their arm on their face, and they like to put their head down. Is this just something that mostly everyone does? Do I not do this because I am pretty much more or less extremely energetic in the morning?

I have a theory that the students put their heads down/touch their face because they don't get enough vitamins.

Is that about right?

Why do they do it?

A lot of people are tired after waking up, it takes a couple of hours for them to wake up properly and feel fresh, that's why they do this.

Maybe they where up late and for those who touch their face. They might have just ran to class and feel like they have something on their face. Alot of people who are not moring people take longer to wake up. Half of them more then likely do not want to be there. Some might have jobs to work their way thru college. I know I did I was tired all the time.

What exactly do you mean touching face? I assumed you meant like using hand on face as support or laying their head down into their arms as a cushion. They do that to relax.

So what do you do when your tired and want to relax? Do you use a cushion? Do you have a blanket? Do you lean back in your chair, do you lean on another person etc etc. It's simply getting relaxed by using their hands as support to lean their head into.

It's obvious, your question is like asking, why do we have beds, why do we have chairs, why do we have a back on the chair to support our back, why do we have arm rests on a chair, why do we even sit down etc etc

They're trying to hold their heads up in a very non-conspicuous way!

I just touch my face all the time; it's a habit of mine.

Other people are probably trying to sleep, though. (Kind of interesting. I start falling asleep in early afternoon, and have no problems staying awake once I'm out of bed.)
