Is everyone watching the Bush speech

Who wrote this? It sounds more like a class room lecture than a speech! I know we have to have some sort of "rescue plan," but I can't see how giving money to these businesses is going to correct the problem. The CEO's don't give a tinker's damn if they fail, because they get the multi-millions when they jump ship!
What I am seeing here is a growth of companies into "Megacompanies" that essentially control everything. We used to call them monopolies and we have laws against them. Why weren't the laws enforced?
Bush is just trying to close the barn door after the horse is out!
Folks, I'm afraid we are in for a ride that is going to make the Great Depression look like a walk in the park.

I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I don't think he really "said" anything at all. I gleaned nothing new except that he is trying to scare us into accepting something that truly doesn't feel like it's the right choice. I'm still processing....
