How is the work for a defence contractor in Area 51?

Hello everyone, I wanted to know what is the primary duty of these companies who work and employ civilian staff in Groom Lake, how and what are the objectives of these private military companies in these military installations.

Private contractors do base security (EG&G), food service, construction and most infrastructure support. Many of the scientists and engineers are civilian DOD employees.
