Would anyone like to stake a claim on a few hundred acres in Antarctica and start our own Nation of Disgruntled Americans (NDA).

I really don't want to start my new country in Antarctica but I think thats the only continent where you can stake a claim. I guess we'd have to build underground/ice infrastructure and export ice or frozen water. Who's with me?

I really wish that was possible. I really am not happy with our country and especially our leaders. There's really not a whole lot I can do about it except exercise my right "NOT" to vote and hope the next clown does better.

I don't know what's more UNappealing - living in a frozen tundra, or having to follow policy created by our beloved Hawks...?

I choose to stay, and don't take that wrong, as your sentiments are felt globally. It's just that I have become complacent with my access to ATS, online gaming, internet in general, warm temp's (at least here), liquor stores within walking distance, the tennis courts down the street, ect...

It would be nice if we could send the current administration there though...

Thats my first order of business is providing internet access to all citizens at no charge. This includes accounts to the more popular MMORPG's. We'll have the internet before a toilet.

There are three places I would like to visit while taking a vacation.

Australia, Alaska, and Antarctica.

I am not against moving to Alaska either. I lived in northern Minnesota for six years, lived in Houston for afew decades, and have been to Phoenix in August.

Hot or cold, the weather doesn't scare me like it does the average person. I prefer extremes anyway.

In addition to cheap land, the government pays people to live in Alaska. And it's not uncommon for the company you work for to give you an Alaska kick back as well.

I recently saw a job offer in Alaska offering 25% of your 1st year income as a bonus for completing your probationary year.

The only down side would be having Russia to your west and north. But a war with Russia would only involve the world getting warmer, making Alaska more appealing then it already is.

I have a feeling that it wouldn't even be remotely possible. Sure there are hundreds of miles of ice and arctic conditions, but in the middle is totally comfortable weather.

There are already ''people'' inhabiting this land. Enough people to warrant operation high jump.

Keep in mind that it is a link to wikipedia which has been edited.

read between the lines

notice how the UFO theories sub section could subtly lead a submissive, anchor-relying(mentally lazy) intellectual to cast said theories in a fictional, or CT-esque light.

Also lies the question of the money it took to send ''4,700 men, 13 ships, and multiple aircraft.'' , especially after two major world wars. Why train only 4,700 men as opposed to a larger amount, or at smaller timed intervals? Why 13 ships, surely one or three would suffice for a simple training mission.

Claim has already been staked, and the only available claims are those that are of the uninhabitable kind.
