I think it's a simple song about how power corrupts. He starts off talking about how he can do innocent things like ride his bike with no handlebars.
But that's before he has gotten powerful, or even thought about becoming powerful. Then he gains power, and he starts talking about how he could take
away people's rights if he wanted to, but he still sprinkles in some innocent things to show that he hasn't been fully corrupted yet. But later,
when he does become 100% corrupt, he starts oppressing the people he rules over because he feels that they are lesser beings than himself.
I think it's about the loss of innocence, and the "selling out" that occurs when one gains power. Which is kinda of funny because many of their old
fans think they "sold out" when this song became popular.
