I was listening to Jim Marrs on Coast to Coast AM with George Norey talking about secret societies. I was instantly hooked.

Mr Marrs at the end of the interview that to get more info on his work to come to this site.

Not really anymore. The 'secret societies' became 'NWO' connected to 9/11 and the police state, etc. But I'm not greatly educated in all the other things on the site, so I mainly stick to my strengths- religion and science, so when I hit 'Board' I'll scroll down to the bottom.

UFO'S! I actually signed up the week after my 1 and only sighting. I was searching for answers and began doing google searches on UFO, E.T., etc and sure enough almost everytime I would see Abovetopsecret pages lol. I don't follow the UFO/E.T. threads as much any more because their are so many BS threads. My favorite one though would have to be www.abovetopsecret.com... because the experience he had was almost identical to mine

Researching the many ufos my family saw and memories that had surfaced brought me here. ATS has advantages over other forums in its larger numbers, and fast paced theads. News appears instantly on this site.
For long in depth experiences with ufology, there are a couple other forums that provide a "safer" more accepting atmosphere to share and explore with others. Though information is exchanged a little slower, and the number of new threads is considerably less. I gain more in depth information from the safety element. Its hard enough for people to share and seek information from others in such an area, with a lack of good support, without having to expose yourself to ridicule from the skeptics. Hopefully the grey area will change this. (edit to add: although I wouldn't have named it that, because its disrespectful to those sharing the very real stories and very important knowledge that others really do need to know. I would have simply made a safe category for sharing sightings and experiences)
I often shelf information I've waded through that someone gave, and then discover independent ufo interviews that confirm or flesh out the personal experience I had read in a thread by a very private, unpublicized person.
ATS, however, like I said, has the advantage of getting the information out quickly, and explores topics in a face past manner and is very good at what it offers and does.

Im so glad so many of you responded to my thread. It wonderful how ATS is a melting pot for all of us who have had a lot of similar experiences. I too was very intimidated by the site when i first found it, I have been really silent for over a year and just now felt comfortable enough to start sharing and speaking here although i am still very shy about speaking here.

This site has shown that other worldly experiences, occult, time shifting, things that go bump in the night etc, are really the norm for us humans. No longer do we have to be silent about what we witness or experience only to be ridiculed.
Well there are the debunkers, and I do respect them, although some can just be nasty, but the intelligent debunkers have opened my eyes on many things. It is frustrating though to read pages and pages of the yellings of its a HOAX over and over again with now basis for that opinion.

oops i ramble, maybe I should have stayed silent for another year.

I don't remember how I got to this site but I know that it was when I was searching for info on 9/11. The funny thing is that I rarely frequent that forum anymore, there is so much other stuff to check out.

According to my mother I'm "a crazy conspiracy theorist." My wife calls me "a nut." Both of them got tired of hearing my conspiracy theories, and my mother actually banned me from talking about them at family gatherings. So I came online to be with my kind. This has quickly become my second home.

Being a crazy nut myself, I'm attracted to other crazy nuts.

Not you guys. You guys are alright. Other people...over there...somewhere...doin stuff...umm...yeah

1. How did you find ATS?

2. What brought you here to start with?

3. Are you still active in the original topic that brought you here in the first place.

A close relative sent me a link. We had experienced an unusual thing or two the day before, so we had been discussing the nature of time and perceived "reality". Then, at home, I browsed around, and so did she. And there were a few threads on ATS that we both found interesting, about reality perception and such things.

(I HAD seen - and briefly visited - ATS before, but I never stayed for long because a) I didn't like the name - I still don't
-, and b) I had always had the misfortune of stumbling upon the kookiest threads and/or overwrought posters... You know what I mean.
)

And yes, I am - or was, until very recently - "active" in various threads that address my main concern: time and its interaction with perceived reality.
How could I NOT be?

1. How did you find ATS?

I found it while looking for NWO stuff on google. It was like the first entry and when I first found this site I thought it was rather odd and out there but I still kept coming back lol

2. What brought you here to start with?

Like I said in question1 it was all the NWO stuff I was looking for at the time. Ive always been a conspiricy nut so I would have ended up here at some point lol

3. Are you still active in the original topic that brought you here in the first place.

No not really, Im more of a bts guy now. But I always like to come here and have a good look through some of the foums here at ats.

I came to ATS because I love the fact that some a-hole can post complete lies about a mothership coming on a specific day and he'll get 10000 points and stars. Meanwhile if I say he's a liar, I get negative points.

Case and point, Skipper has about 10 times the points i do and he's a complete scammer. I got warned for posting against what he believes.

The way this place is run is a complete joke.

I was actually lurking(About 2 years) for a while before I created my first account(this one).

I can honestly say that I have learned A LOT with ATS

I put ATS in my favorites and promptly forgot about it years ago. Recently, I returned, searching out Dorothy Izatt. I enjoy the incredulous and awe-struck tidbits and reactions to Izatt's DVD. What brought me here and what will bring me back again are the intelligent postings, and the genuine curiousity to find the truth. My imagination is being sparked over and over, and you can't ask more than that from a forum of humans.

You want to know what drew me to ATS?

My alternate thinking.

That in and of itself is a thread to the powers that think they be.

Here I am feeding the global brain.

And you?

1. How did you find ATS?

Google! I think I was searching for stuff on Atlantis when I found a link to a thread about it here.

2. What brought you here to start with?

Atlantis, Aliens & UFOs!

3. Are you still active in the original topic that brought you here in the first place.

Atlantis: not so much because we don't have any new information on the subject.
Aliens: Yes because there's always something new there!
UFOs: Ditto.

I cant even remember,i was a browser before signing up,i listened to tons and of coast 2 coast interviews which a certain youtube member had..i cant remember the guys name, supposedly alot of his stuff got taken down..google nazi's at it again i suspect.Anyway..somehow i found my way here, many of the conspiracies i once believed were shattered,,its a good thing having so many people with different outlooks on conspiracies..nowadays i find the best conspiracy related matters in politics,i dont trouble myself much with masons, ufo's,aliens etc like i used to,especially when most of them have been debunked so to speak...politics is where the real conspiracy is and where i focus most of my attention now.I thank the heavens for this site, atleast there is somewhere i dont look like a nut and i can speak my mind without
coming into the equation or the odd chuckle by friends and family.I cant say its not fun having a drunken rant about all political conspiracies imaginable..but according to friends and family the government REALLY is looking after our best interests.
