No doubt that this has been discussed before but since Edgar Mitchell opened up I think its a good time to give Clark a mention and all he has suffered at the hands of his previous contracted employers.

It's been discussed quite extensively here

While McClelland apparently did work in the space program, evidence indicates that most of his time was spent working for various subcontractors, not NASA. Piecing together a timeline shows he probably didn't work for NASA long enough to qualify for retirement.
