Large Hadron Collider...

Can someone please explain what this darn thing is supposed to do? im a product of a public school education...and i just can process all the scientific words behind this thing.

i do understand that it may create a blackhole...and suck earth and the entire solar system inside.

its a shame they arent talking about this on News stations...people should be informed of what could happen so they could spend these next days doing what they want to.

I hope that explains the basics, though it doesn't cover black holes.

As far as that goes, I wouldn't loose any sleep worrying about it.
IF black holes are created they will be so small and short lived that they won't pose any risk of sucking anything let alone the earth and the entire solar system...

The ppl a CERN are looking for a partical they call the HIGGS BOSON the so called GOD PARTICAL they say its bigger than an atom but still remains a theory, here is some helpful info
