That's not evidence for them being able to do it, just stories. If we are to believe all stories, then one has to ask why they didn't use the force and move them with their midichlorians?

I guess it would be another matter to induce resonance in a solid body, and the vibrations created would make the object bounce. In that state it would be relatively easy to push it around, as it is easy to push a 300lb guy on a pogo stick when he's not on the ground (poor pogo stick). The only problem with that, is the object will be smashing against the ground for each resonant vibration, which in the case of stone, would make it crumble rather rapidly.

N. Tesla had a small handhold device that he attached to a girder of a building being built. The device sent out a pulse and could be tuned so that the feedback wave would increase. He was able to build up the resonance so that it could shake the whole building to the point the the workers were scared that it was going to damage it.

I would site the book but I have all my books in storage.
