'Escaped lion' turns out to be large dog

A full-scale operation involving a police helicopter swung into action in north Belfast when a large sandy-coloured animal was spotted prowling in a public park close to the grounds of Belfast Zoo.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland received a number of reports from members of the public all of whom thought they had seen a lion in Cavehill Park in the north of the city.

Zoo keepers conducted an urgent check of all compounds, including those housing lion and tigers, but reported that all animals were accounted for.

A police spokesman said officers now believed the animal seen in the park on Monday night was in fact a large stray dog.

I reckon this is a really funny story actually, the point i'm trying too make by posting this is pretty much too do with the cryptozoology thing, in fact in can link in with a lot of the threads on here, like you may think you've saw a great big UFO or Bigfoot etc..
but look at the case above, if someone can mistake a dog for a lion then come on. I'm not tryna urinate all over everyones dreams here by the way, i myself would love too see stuff like that, and i look out for them, i do research them a lot,
i geuss the point i'm making is, at first some stuff may seem really strange and weird, but always remain that little bit skeptical....thanks x

it was a great dane with a wig, a dog can dream cant it, things they do for their 15 mins of fame, and just to show how versatile they can be!
