AFRICOM Question.

I was telling my friend about this the other day, he didn't believe me so we went to google to search for answers. It looks like someone has been doing alot of editing, I can't find much on the subject now. Does anyone know of a good site that explains what this is, who is behind it and possible base locations? Does anyone have a copy of the original wikipidea page about this.
