Whats the difference between Israel and Breakaway Regions of Georgia?

I think one of the conspiracies of today is the United States stance on the breakaway regions of Georgia. Our hypocrisy is starting to show more and more. The fact is the majority of the Ossetia region wants independence. So why are we fighting this? In the past we have backed many groups who want a country of their own and one not need to look any further than Israel. The fact is Israel was Palestine till the mass migration and then Israel deciding they wanted their own country. We backed this and still do to this day at the detriment of our blood and treasure. So why are we about to go to war to stop a majorities will isnt that hypocritical? There is a conspiracy here and I cant articulate it any better but maybe people can help.

The short answer? Money, influence, and suffering.

If the Jewish folks weren't spread so widely, and didn't have such an influential and vocal core, and didn't have 6,000,000 of their brothers and sisters murdered by the Nazis, they wouldn't have got their country.

But yeah - you hit the nail on the head: hypocrisy. It's everywhere in US politics. Pandering to the loudest voice only serves to punish everyone.
