Making a distinction between journalists like Brit Hume and commentators like Sean Hannity and Bill O ’Reilly, McClellan admitted that “certainly” the White House used Fox News talking heads as “spokespeople” with “a script” It was done frequently, especially on high-profile issues” and Fox often gave the White House “its desired results.”

This just proves to me what i always new, That Fox news is a brainwashing, *snip* News Channel!

Man, McClellan is really blowing my mind lately. I remember when he was Press Secretary I used to watch him and wonder how he slept at night. Apparently not very well, considering what he's been doing since he left the position. I'm really starting to kind of like the guy.

On another note, I love that anchor that is presenting the clip in the video. What is his name? I can never remember.

This is a canard that is going to die hard, especially in this election year.

The fact is that Scott McClellan only suggested that the White House fed talking points to Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity in the vaguest of terms.

People like Olberman were quick to pick up on the insinuation, but the fact is that when Bill O'Reilly challenged McClellan on his show regarding the veracity of that assertion, McClellan admitted that it was false.

Of course, McClellan being a man of no scruples, it took O'Reilly a good five minutes to get McClellan to own up to his weaselly ways.

You can listen to it all here:

The truth hardly matters though, because when you look the matter up on Google, you'd be hard pressed to find a reference to anything except the lie.

As is often said, "A lie can travel halfway round the world while the truth is putting on its shoes."
