A US Air Force plane crashed in the Nevada desert, killing all five people on board, military officials said.

and a the bottom it says the cause is unknown... hmm, Nevada?

Maybe they were chasing an escaped UFO from Area 51?

I just hope that the families of the deceased are going to be alright.

Unfortunately, light aircraft accidents are all too common. What interests me is that they went down in the middle of an unpopulated area, ie they were in the middle of the outbound leg of their journry. Most accidents occur on takeoff or landing. Without knowing more, though, I can't really comment.

It was on it's way to TTR (Tonopah Test Range).

While Air Force officials could provide only few details about the operations the transport plane was supporting, sources familiar with classified activities in remote parts of the sprawling Nellis range said the Beechcraft 1900 was one of several transport planes that shuttle workers from McCarran International Airport to the Groom Lake installation and the Tonopah Test Range.

One of the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the plane that crashed was known as the "Area 51 stretch King Air."
