If the Americans do all that because of the oil,then again we could ask our selfs why they didn't invest in the oil holes

it just said that he does not tell the whole story -as for your other quotes and remarks they are in place and are very irrelevant as to what the big picture is

and as for extraction fees in the middle east : of course its cheaper to dig it out of the ground then out of the ocean -also irrelevant to the big picture

The Big Picture, imo would be world wide control of the oil trade.

Exploiting the oil-fields of Alaska and Mexico by themselves and leaving the cheap oil to the Chinese wouldn't be good for US interests. (the US is currently getting their oil mainly from Canada and Mexico) Those area are already heavily fortified and will be easily protected in the future when mass extraction begins.

In order for the US to maintain their standard of living they must control the oil trade world wide. (and assure that oil is sold exclusively in US dollars) This especially includes controlling the oil-rich fields of the middle east.
