The Ring, reality?

Yes I know it is just a movie, and yes I know Shizuko Yamamura character (From Ringu) is baised on Chizuko Mifune. But what I made this thread about is the tape....could that accualy happen in real life, not nessisaraly with the premmise to kill people, just images projected on a channel that has nothing on it and then taped?

After reading the Ghosts in the TV thread and seeing REAL images of Ghosts in the TV, I thought of this, Could some one tape a channel with nothing on it and then catch a copy of the ghost on a tape, if not the ghost's image maybe some random images/Memories projected by someone not alive like in the Ring?

I don't know of any records of anyone trying it, nor do I want to try it. I was just wondering, and this is just something that I thought would make a good topic of discussion....

What I wonder is if you ripped this tape to your HD and copied it to disc, would it still work? What about if you got it off of Kazaa? lol...

ya never know, within the realm of infinity everything is possible. personally i belive behind every legend, there is some sort of truth behind it. i could be wrong or just crazy though.
