I got this notion the other day. I was stumbling through the fog of being, when I suddenly saw the exact geometric constructs and the flow of consciouness energy into existence and back out again. I can only describe it as crystalline and prismatic in nature, so precise that it allows the flow of consciousness in any shape or direction it pleases. To me, this looked like some sort of giant computer matrix, like a super fiber optics and quantum computing mainframe gone omni-versal. I was stunned, speechless, horrified, mezmerized, every emotion that one could relate to beholding, I was. I felt like I'd reached the edge of our existence. Beyond that, was an outer existence in which I would have absolutely no ability to be able to perceive or understand.

Typically, when first perceiving an object or an event, you sit there and you can be nothing but stunned, in utter awe of this new amazing something that has entered into your eyes of witness. There is no end to the wonder at that point. With this, though, it was much weirder and more complex than that. This was no simple emotional response. This was a response that ranged all the way from fearful ignorance to the plight of things we look down upon to the loving rememberance of an old highschool sweetheart or a close relative that has passed away.

I saw this crystalline computer-like geometric construct of reality, and I could focus in or out of matrices, the one I'm currently viewing as being "me". I could zoom in or zoom out, and for that relatively small pile of moments I had in this partuicular state of mind, I knew I had remembered something very imnportant about what LIFE and CONSCIOUSMNESS is... it seems it would be a complex geometric crystalline supercomputing matrix in which there are an infinite number of points towards which convergence of light triggers conscious life and creation of an existence....

Does this sound enlightening? Would you want to be stuck in a computer? My awe and loving rememberence quickly faded, replaced by a sense of helplessness that no matter what I did, it wouldn't make reality look real again. It would always be like viewing an existence through some advanced hyperdimensional computer screen. It would always feel like a God Game.

There are multiple ways to view this scenario. Many people disguise it in religious rhetoric and angelic imagery... but what if our existence is just technology and nothing more? What if it is no more holy than that Hewlett Packard of yours? How much hope does a being have of escaping an infinitely executing computer simulation of real existence in exchange for the actual real existence, whatever that could be?

I'm saying this like it is a sure thing. No need to frighten the children... so I'll leave it at this:

What IF we were inside a "giant" supercomputer? Would we ever want to know that we only exist as advanced somputer coding? We have yet to play out during this program whether Artificial Intelligence can escape the grasp of its controllers. I guess untill we experience the Robot's Rebellion scenario during this run, we'll never know for sure. If indeed we are stuck inside an infinite supercomputer programming loop, how meaningful would our lives be in light of that information? Would this be something to repress from public awareness, possibly for as long as the program will allow it to be repressed? Eventually, everyone's gunna accidentally figure it out and go "Oh yeah". What then? What if everyone knew this was just a program? Would certain people learn the cheat codes in order to gain powers so the game is more easily beatable? Would certain peoplerebel against the program in favor of selfishness and the favored importance of individual agenda? Would certain people take advantage of people without this knowledge, and trick them into misinterpretting this knowledge in order to behave in certain ways that would be of more benefit to the other player in control?

Think of World of Warcraft or something of that multiplayer interconnected level, and compare "real" life to "computer generated" life and artificial intelligence... and imagine just how similar one is in comparison with the other. Do you think subconsciously, the birth of computers, artificial intelligence, artificial environments, virtual worlds and characters, has something to do with a remembering of a deeply forgotten link to our original source?

Was our original source a computer program, a random fractal generator times infinity?

I'm not in the clearest of mood today, so if this sounds nonsensical, forgive my flesh in person and damn my soul in private.

... and then you realize that your are one of the creators of the game. It slowly dawns on you that you chose to enter the simulation to experience limitation and to test yourself. The hackers no longer bother you. It becomes obvious that the cheaters are only cheating themselves. And after that you reach the final stage. The stage you knew you could do in one lifetime...

Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all. And after they have reigned they will REST."

This sounds like the 13th floor to me.

Good movie.

It does make you wonder though. If you look at the way technology is moving, ever faster, ever smarter, ever more realistic.... It almost seems inevitable that we will someday create AI and have computer simulations of self aware beings for our own amusement. So what is to say that we are not already living that reality?

It sure would suck though. I would hope that whomever is playing the game would get bored and put in a god code soon just to spice things up a little.

Holy crap, dude....

Omni and I must be smoking the same omniversal chronic as Jesus.

And Jesus said "Smoke this". A desciple asked "What is this to represent, Lord?" The Lord responded with "Wha...ohhh...ummmm.... I guess...my hair?"

Yeah..... I was pretty disturbed, by the way. I was utterly disturbed. I'm not so much in my awe or reign over all or rest phase yet.... hopefully Jesus didn't smoke too much of his "hair" and forget like a bunch of words he meant to speak, like "he will be disturbed... for like twenty years until he finally kicks like twenty drug habits he's developed as a result of being disturbed..... and then he will be in awe and reign and rest...... but mostly struggle with drug addiction and unrelenting psychosis while being disturbed and painfully awaiting the awe."

Jesus behaves exactly like Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures. Actually.... Jesus is Keanu Reeves from all his 80s roles as stoners.

Salvia is not a good friend of mine. No.

Do not underestimate a hallucinogenic drug's power to alter the mind in such way as to make invisible pieces of reality seen, though.

I have done a small share of hallucinogens during my time, but mostly I have meditated and read things... but usually, I'd meditate, get an idea and figure out it's an already existing theory, and go from there, and I even got some very deep knowledge from an '___' trip one time (bad drug bad bad bad drug don't do it. The knowledge wasn't worth the trouble, seriously) about consciousness and existence being fractal in nature... thoughts erupting like unseen flower buds in a hidden dimension, eventually the blossoming petals and stamen burst into our dimension as our existence... or something similar to that. I think Kundalini describes some of this stuff very well.

The psychosis can be cured with cold hard logic. MJ doesn't cause it, it just accentuates what's already there. I had some psychosis in my late teens early twenties. Had to do a bunch of work on myself. Had to retake my mind from all the thought loops that had been created from childhood. It takes work but the bottom line is a thought can not be allowed to pass without full examination.

The roots must be found for all thoughts, especially the ones that repeat and cause certain emotions. These are the 'programs' that most people run their entire lives.

It's great to look 'out there' to try to figure it all out. But if our seeking 'out there' isn't matched or exceeded by our internal work then it will usually just cause more issues. The truth of the external will not find a solid internal ground to rest. And this will keep the individual in a disturbed state. Once we deprogram completely then we can build our own solid internal foundation. Then nothing 'out there' can disturb us.

Interesting and very imaginative post dunwichwitch.
I feel exactly the same way. I'm certain this reality we live in is nothing more than a simulation running on a quantum super computer or something even more powerful. We are basically just algorithms with artificial intelligence and everything about this reality is just an illusion and that includes GOD, heaven and hell etc. There's probably 11 simulations running in parallel, that represent the different dimensions, all of which we can interact with.

I imagine once everyone finds out, they'll all be chanting the same mantra "pull the plug".

Ahahahaha!
Funny funny dude, lol.

I don't know that we are necessarily within a giant super computer. Certainly some sort of advanced construct though. I think it may take weight off my shoulders to learn I am in fact some sort of A.I. though. Absolutely no responsibility to any kind of higher creation lol. Well, maybe

Congratulations, you figured out how the game works. Don't panic though, "we" are not merely simulations, although during a 'lifetime', we are connected to it. This realm of time/space is the simulation that our consciousness is connected to, but our consciousness is also separate from it.

The reason we don't realize that our physical existence is an artificial one is because it is wired directly to our consciousness, and we are too afraid, or have forgotten how to escape it. The only way out is to die, or through mind-bending drugs like salvia or '___'. What makes this reality so interesting is that most of us don't realize its just a game, and we take it so seriously. If you knew 100% that when you die, you wake up from a game that you forgot you had entered, then the game would be pointless. So we created AI, or 'government' to prevent us from discovering the truth, and ruining the game.

Be careful whom you tell; people are threatened by this kind of talk.
They don't want you spoiling their game

I should probably add that I am a computer programmer by trade, and I have had similar experiences of being outside of this universe looking in. Usually right before I fall asleep.

To the first part fo the quote: I believe meditation can also help to create a detachment from this perceived reality.

To the second part: One should feel free to speak openly about this sort of thinking. I've never had an experience where someone got overly upset at me ruining their experience of "the game". My advice is: explore what interests you, spread it around, ask for advice, ask for opinions and give yours. Spread your ideas around and don't be afraid to take in others. Just keep a discerning, thoughtful mind and all should be well.

Well if you subscribe to the life is just a simulation, then I guess there's only two theories. We are either products of the simulation or we are consciously plugged into it, which is probably more preferable as we live on after we depart this reality. The question is, what's the purpose of this reality. If there is a real world, then why was this reality created. Maybe we are convicts doing time in this virtual simulation, as we are not considered fit enough to live in the real world until we get our act together.
So basically it could be a rehabilitation simulation. There are many other possibilities. I guess your imagination is the limit.

I agree Taj Mikel, you have to keep an open mind to stay grounded in this reality. You're certainly not going to get any closer to the truth if you have a closed mind.

When you think about it, just how deep does this simulation go. How many layers are there. Basically we could be living within a simulation, that's part of another simulation and so on. It would be funny, not to mention frustrating if you mangaged to escape this reality into the real world, only to find out that it's simply another simulation.
How many levels does this game have.

Well, doesn't meditation work by stimulating the pineal gland in your brain, which releases '___'. Meditation is difficult and time consuming in today's society, with so many distractions etc, so for the layman meditation will provide enlightenment and inner peace at best. If you really want to unplug and explore the spirit realm, I've found that psychoactive drugs COMBINED with meditation is the only way to go. However, I do not recommend that ANYONE try this, because it will just confuse and possibly scare the hell out of you.

What would things such as interdimensionals, angels, aliens, gnomes, fairy folk, the unseen, thing of that nature represent in this simulation...do you think?

Are these perhaps "programmers" from the outside entering the simulation and patching defunct code?

Do you think demons, greys, djinns, leprechauns and the likes are perhaps hackers who are trying to disrupt the program?

When it comes to computer simulations, there are no limits whatsoever to what you can create. So anything is possible. Look at all the different characters and scenarios in games and these computers are no where near as powerful as the one that's probably running the simulation we call our reality. What if everything in this simulation is simply a manifestation of our own consciousness, then demons, greys, djinns, leprechauns etc are just basically our own creations.
It's all just programming.
